re: spacing for cedar deck boards did the deck and went with a heavy speed square width. basically used the speed square and just made it a little loose. i know this deck sees lots of leaves and probably worse pine needles which i know will be catching on the tops of the joists.
re: cedar deckboard spacing or lack there of i can remove the boards but because of the irregular shape of the deck the boards would have to be placed back in the exact spot where they came from. removing the boards would be my last resort. i tried removing a few small ones and all the screw heads broke off.
